Found one. Thanks

Looking for a transmission tunnel / hump for a 72 to 78 FJ40

I have one for an earlier than 72 that I can trade.

9/72 the hump changed and was originally a three speed in most markets. Early 74 model switched to a four speed and holes for shifters changed. 75/76 models had two drain holes for the vent in the cowl which was welded closed on models with a heater. Market without a heater still had the drain holes in 77/78 and beyond.

I am interested in purchasing your pre 1972 transmission hump if it's one for a "three on the tree" FJ40. I need one for my late 1970 FJ40. Please let me know, thanks.

You'll be first in line. Just want to get correct one on lines up first.

What SOR has is made of fiberglass with no holes cuts. Is that what your after? What I discribed is how the holes were cut at the factory. Only difference would be if it had a PTO winch or PO mods. While 9/72 to 12/78 would bolt in, holes cut at the factory differed during that time depending on market and if it had a front heater.

No I want the holes cut and original hump. I have a later 74. No PTO. Just two holes.

I have a ‘74 hump, super clean, with cutouts for the 3speed trans and transition case. Customer installed a 4speed and bought a matching hump rather than cut this.

Yours a 3or4?

4 speed. Wasn't aware the holes were different. How much cutting we talking?
I'd hate to ruin one when someone else may need it as is.

I don’t know the answer to that, but I know @YOYOKID knows. I think he’s out of town this weekend wheeling, but maybe he’ll chime in when he returns.

I'm going to need one in the real near future. I installed my engine, 4speed transmission and tranfercase today. The cruiser is a Nov 73 build and came with a 3speed. I didn't realize that the transmission hump was different from a 3speed and 4speed. I hate to cut my transmission hump that's in great shape. That being said I would like to trade or sell mine and buy or trade for a 4speed transmission hump.

I still my old one from a pre 74 3 speed that was cut to allow a four speed to move freely. You can have it for cost of shipping if you want. I have no need for it. You can see pics of it under my profiles thread postings.

I have brought several of these with me from Europe on my last trip but didn't have time to list them yet . Since they come out of Europe this means they are 76 -78 models as we did not get any earlier ones.

I will try to take some pics this week , I have 3 in very good condition and 2 that needs some work.

Joe
