Tranny filter question (1 Viewer)

I'm getting 2 different size filters quoted to me at the parts stores for my transmission filter. Are there really 2 different sizes for the auto in the FJ62? Can someone guide me in the right direction. Didn't want to pull the pan and all down until I got the filter and pan gasket. Thabks

Isn't the filter a reusable mesh screen?

It seems there is only one filter, as there is only one type of A440F.
But, don't quote me on this.

You do not replace it. You clean it and reuse.

Sorry if its a noob question but im gathering the needed items for swapping a440f transmissions, im going to keep the original filter, have it cleaned/reused... should i also have a new filter gasket ordered? Anything else recommended while the tranny is out? I have new oem rear main seal, transfer case gasket kit and oil seal for front bearing retainer. Thanks in advance!

Since your tranny is out as you say, maybe replace your rear main if needed?

Got that covered, I've always had a little oil leak from there so I've got that. Looking at the FSM seems I should have the gasket for the transmission pan and new gasket for filter? Any good recommendations on where I should get theses or P/N's?
