I wanted to post up here and see if there is any interest in having a batch of trail tops made that are similar to the ones pictured here. I would probably make a few changes that would increase the quality and the usability of the existing one I have. I would most likely have them made with tie down points around the top so that it can be used better on a trailer. I would also probably make it a bit bigger so that it fit more types of fj40's. I would only make it to fit full cages. I have a local shop here in San Diego that could do the work and most likely would want a min order but wanted to see if there is really interest out there for tops like this. I don't expect these tops to be cheap but not outrageous either. I would expect them to be anywhere from $150 to $250 a piece depending on what the final product is, but obviously final pricing is TBD. I would have to gather payments up front for most of the tops. I have been a long time mudder and lots of people know me so please ask around, I don't plan to screw anyone out of their money.
Also, please post up any ideas on what you would like to see on the tops and I may or may not consider implementing them into the end product.
so with that said, please post up if you would be interested in something like this being produced. For now, this is just a feeler thread to see if this is worth my time to do this. Yes, I am doing this for profit but don't expect to get rich off of it either.
