Hey! Get in line, Jack! I tossed him a challenge yesterday. Let the man breathe...and work on my challenge.
;)

Do tell!!

Is it 48.5" Wide to fit 48x96 Sheet Goods?

It's like having a pickup on your roof.
Why yes, yes it is! :grinpimp::hillbilly: Wait...is it 48" wide? That would have been cool!

4 kids, their friends, a dog, and 3-8 day trips. Can't ever have enough room for stuff. Even if I only load it 3/4, I love having the option to fill it all the way and not have to worry about gear falling through. The jerry-rigged setups I've used in the past are in the past.

I know the gingers are distracting, but try to focus on the rack. Jason did a great job! Thanks for a great product!

Field test report: Full roof rack with customization (expanded mesh decking, spots for 2 Jerry cans, full length/width and full basket)
Rack weight: 130 pounds
Load weight: Probably 200 pounds+
Slee OME Med/Heavy lift kit on 33s', ARB front bumper, no sliders or custom rear bumper.

Without the rack the truck had a little forward rake, or stinkbug look. The rack leveled it out nicely and took some jarring out of the ride. This weekend we did an overnighter from Bountiful, UT to Fish Springs National Wildlife Reserve in the west desert of Utah. 142 miles each way, about 60 of that is semi-graded road. For camping and side trips we used the 4WD and even the lockers once. We had 2 adults and 2 teens and I packed for a 3 day trip just to test it and refresh our processes for the first real trip of the season.

The rack held everything easily. It should, it's a truck bed on top of the 80. I added a hi-lift jack mount and a shovel mount. Full gear list: 60 inch hi-lift, shovel, cooler, kitchen box, 2 cabela's cots, a heavy family tent, overnight bags, firewood the first night, and sleeping bags. Add to that the kids in the 3rd row, recovery gear, and tools. My jerry cans have gone missing, so I didn't end up using those but I really wished I'd had them. We limited our travel a bit because we had to watch our fuel use.

This first picture is a little deceiving. The truck isn't resting flat, so the compression in the DS rear is exaggerated.

Overall impression: Great product. It withstood some abuse and held up to the rattling from overland expedition type travel. Sturdy and stable. I received complements on it every time I stopped.

Jason hooked me up with some straps and designed the rack specifically for them. I love having the right tool.
