Is there a regular list of spare parts you should have for an 80 when you run trails like the Rubicon? I'm just getting into my 97 LX and don't know what to consider the weak points that would strad you on a trail. I also don't want to carry too much weight. I'll have my tow rig at the trailhead sometimes but not sure what I should have on me all the time.

What would you consider the Trail Spare essentials?

Nice rig. I can only speak to essentials but I would have fuses and fusible links mechanics wire and duct tape also filters and fluids

Do a quick search, use the search tab in the upper right corner, this subject has been well researched and covered lots of times,

Start with the same size spare tire in good condition and a good set of tools. Running trails like the Rubicon with a mild lift and stock running boards is not a good idea. They will incur substantial damage. They should be removed and replaced with sliders to protect rocker panels. Experience with your rig will help determine what spare parts you want to carry. Also, driving technique varies and some drivers will break parts that other drivers won’t. But it won’t hurt to study threads mentioned to get ideas.
