does anyone have the OEM part numbers for the 60 snorkle?

Cruiser_guy wanted to try in Central America for one... I said I would look in the EPC. I looked all over in the EPC and could not find the snorkle.

Anyone know where in the EPC I could find snorkles? Is it under "body"?

There is a diagram here under 2H 12HT even though the diagram says 2F 3B ???
In you epc ,it should be in the same section as the air filter canister

OK I see that in those french pages.... But my europe and Japan EPC shows absolutely no snorkles in air cleaner or any other page. I search for at least half an hour with no results.

Must have been another market that got them.

Cruiser_guy, can you check in the epc at your local toyota dealer to see under air cleaner if they list snorkles?

Must have been another market that got them.

?
They are pretty thin on the ground here too,I guess thats how Safari and TJM airflow captued such a big market;)
Im wondering if the snorkle on a 60 was fleet owners only option through the dealer?

Hamersley Iron: We want another 120 landcruisers this quarter and they must have a god damn snorkles:D
Half of them got choked up with dust from convoy work and the other half hydrolocked in a flash flood while we trying to escape:mad:

Specialist Fleet Landcruiser dealer: Yes Sir ,we are working on it now Sir:D

Someone had a proper pic of one, cant remember where I saw it.

Email me for more information.

The small image is the 100 unit, it is only listed for the 1HD-FTE and 1HZ engine models. But I see no reason that it can not be fitted to a gas engine model.

The larger image is the 80 snork.

53707D
53773A
53199B
17912B
17912D
53208B
53209D

(bolts)
96111-10880
90119-08961
90119-08869 (x2)
93580-19010 (x4)
90269-06006 (x4)
90119-06593
90119-06594(x2)

Give us the low-down on pricing please... (Japan4x4, sent you back an email.)

MOT, can you get this stuff? Whats your pricing on it all?

Ferg,

You are aware that it requires the 10-digit numbers to get the parts, meaning that the "main parts and the brackets" you have stated need the latter half of the PN's.

Anyway, I've started going through my resources in an attempt to get all of the PN's for them. I'm sure Dave(Japan4x4) has all of the info. already though.

So if you're ready to pull the trigger, Dave's your man now, but if you're not, then I'd love to have a shot at presenting my case later. ;)

Ben,

I'll either post or PM when I have my act together, but it might take me a few days as today is my wife's due date and if it doesn't happen today, there's a very good chance that she's going in tommorow. :hillbilly:

Here are some pics of the OEM snorkel for the 80 that I had in possession for one of the Mudders a while ago.

Mot,

Do you still have contact with the mudder you got this 80 snork for? Looks like the fender cut-out one would have to make is a lil funke... I'd love to here from them on how their install went. I'm also wondering how well the outer portion attaches to the inner fender portion. It obviously would need to be sealed up somehow if one would be crossing any DEEP rivers with it...

Ben,

I "believe" he has not installed it yet as he told me that he wanted to decide what he wanted to do with the power antenna that was not going to be functional after the install before taking any actions. I'll check and confirm it though.

Not sure if I posted this pic, but will put it up and see if it might clarify it just a bit... looks like two clamps at the base of the snorkle and one clamp at the top/A-pillar that "secure" the unit, maybe! I'm close to obtaining the necessary info with all of the components, so hopefully as soon as I have it ironed out, I can get my hands on one again and maybe even do an install on my rig.:hillbilly:

Thanks for your patience.

Japan4x4.

Can you post the complete part numbers for the 80s snorkel?

does anybody have the part number for just the top/cap of this snorkel

Yes, technically you need a new airbox because the air intake comes from fender not front anymore. I sell them with and without because some folks want to do their own air box modifications. I have not had many requests for the airbox alone, that is why I do not list it as a seperate item. Price would be the difference from one without and one with.

Hi, is there difference in volume between airbox for snorkel and classic airbox or it have just different air intake?

I think its only the air intake thats different. The volume of the airbox is the same.

Not too sure if the new square filter boxes are better or just to make use of the cheaper sqare filters

Safari has a new high flow 4" snorkel coming for the 70 series (from lcool.org)...
