That registration date will disappoint all of your southern neighbors. :)

I still have to cut my safari snorkel hole and then I plan on painting the front fenders and cab later this week.

Yeah I don't think you will have a problem getting this into the states, it was sold new in Canada in 1995 IIRC

It will be interesting to see if you are correct. The U.S. Federal Government has a long history of being a "party pooper" when it comes to demonstrating logic.

guys, there is no way to get this legally into the states.
there was never a form 1 for the mine trucks, it might have been sold in Canada but never to the public, only for off road use in the mines.
sorry to burst your bubble

lovely build Owlridge, just beautiful. i wish you the best in the sale. you SURE you want to sell it? $26K is a really good price.

Thanks Wayne, how come you ask if I'm SURE I want to sell it? I was not planning on selling this cruiser anytime soon but I have a serious sick addiction and found a car I must have !!!over the 75 series:()
If $26 is not a good deal then please let me know what this should realistically sell for in Canada? Your opinion and advice always help. It's not a $ maker for me if that makes a difference. Ive spent countless hrs working on this truck and it runs extremely well with no rust and mostly all new body parts
I've owned over 15 HZ engines and this 1 purrs incredibly strong with no issues or unusual wear at all and all proper maintenance up to date via toyota dealership
Every time I want and look for a LHD Canadian landed 75/79 series it seems near impossible. Well here is some1s chance to pick up a super clean rare truck in Canada. I'm sure some cruiser head will appreciate what work has been put into it. I'm in love with the truck and will post some more finished pics later this weekend.

what i said was "$26K is a really good price", meant to read as "with the time and money invested, this price is very fair"
i know about addiction and can understand your ... desires. the 75 series in Canada is coming to a close. They are getting harder and harder to score in decent enough shape to even consider refurbishing. the 79 series is a cool ride but ... BUT ... the 75 has some cool features with the removable top, drop windscreen.

and

Toyota has been keeping records now of which mine gets which truck, where it goes from the mine shop, what happens to the truck in the end. the paper trail now is VERY precise, i pity anyone that tries to play the "refurbish the mine truck" game. this has been going on for the last 5 years minimum ... or so i have been told.
before it was just serial number to which mine shop and the record stopped there.

so, do you REALLY want to sell it? replacing it, should you ever want to, might be a bugger.

I agree it will be literally impossible to find 1 in this shape being LHD, mechanically sound with no rust and not to mention it being convertible!!!:())) I asked the other day for 75 top off photos and I wasn't able to find 1 on the entire net. If I drive a 75 the top must be off(makes me look younger;))
Ive had a few 75/79s over the past 10yrs and this may be the cleanest yet. I priced it low but the price will continue to go up as I complete it.
Back to the topic lol. I want this car real badly and it will make me look and feel younger and I really do NOT want to sell this 75 but my $ tree in the backyard isn't producing this yr

Dracaena marginata, also known as the money tree, requires a tropical climate. :)
Damn nice truck. I bet someone could get it into Alaska for a visit, then just keep it here without problems.

Visiting is not the issue ...... it's the staying that creates the problem. :)

Right. I'm just saying some state DMV's are more picky than others.

Degreased, power washed, wire wheeled, primed, and then painted the rear section of the frame while I had the box off today
