Do I install this or not. Did not come installed I don’t believe for the Australian market.

It appears to be Middle East and South America specific from what I have seen.

The spring mechanism that keeps the oval in place is a pain to clean/disassemble. Ask me how I know.

The place where it sits on the hood/bonnet is hard to access from below.

I would not cut a hole in a perfectly good hood/bonnet to install it.

Fitment of the hood ornament is only correct for Gulf countries and South America. The ornament you have is the superseded "sombrero" used on newer vehicles. I would pass on that in your case. IF you had a correct-vintage ornament that said "TOYOTA" I'd be all over using that.
