Got my bent drive shaft fixed about a month ago at the Yota dealer here in town. I don't live here, my college is here. But they sent me a coupon in the mail for "15% off any installed Toyota accessory." There are a few parts I need that I would like to get, and why not when I can save a couple bucks. Looking for front mud flaps and a rear license plate light. Is there any way to locate them?

Thanks

Get a cool sun shade for the front;)

Protect that dash from fading

Or get the plastic pocket thingy for coins

It's my DD man. College budget and 15mpg is killin' my pocket.
What would you guys do?

And how should I get in touch with about front mud flaps? Can't find them on toyota's website...

Give cdan a call for the front mud flaps. Unfortunately 15mpg is the normal on a 100. Nothing you can do about it. I am not sure what Toyota makes for the 100's either. So your 15% off really isn't much other than some bug deflectors and fender flares. Which I'm sure you can get for free from another member that has taken his off.

Ride a bicycle as much as possible, and collect gas money from your moocher friends ;)

Bingo, im guessing your buddies like to ride in it so let them know it could turn into a two seater Tacoma with plenty of room in the bed for them if they dont start pitching in. :steer:

If the budget is that tight, I'd sell it. You can get a 100 later - they're getting cheaper every day. A 4 or 6 cyl Toyota pickup would be an awesome truck for a college student.

You're not going to find any 15%-off do-dads that are going to improve your MPG. Save your money.

And for college on a budget you should be driving something that gets good gas mileage, is uncomfortable for more than one passenger and can haul a lot of beer...

While he or beno will gladly give you the part number even if you're buying them elsewhere, it's good karma to buy from them (and I think you'll find their price may even be better than your coupon).

Haha I ride my Haro every single day. I don't normally drive but maybe 15miles during the week, if at all.

A 6cylinder truck would be great. Just a good 4x4 one is hard to find.

This is turning into another one of those threads...

But yeah, I guess there are no good parts for me to use my little coupon on. Thanks guys

So... like 1 gallon or $4 during the week? College must be a lot tougher now than I remember! :p

haha, thats not that bad. It's a pretty good deal around here, I can make a tank last for a couple weeks, riding my bike a ton. It's the trips back home or wanting to take a trip somewhere. Here to home and back is $60-ish....trips would be twice that. I wish it was a vehicle that got just alittle better mileage...so I could go more places...snowboarding in the winter, dive trips...that kinda thing.

but i knew it wasn't going to be great coming into it.
kinda rushed to get out of my jeep wrangler to dodge a huge repair bill...I'm kinda leaning toward trading it for a smaller truck, 4x4 of course. So I could throw a bike in the back, just whenever, or a snowboard...kayak. I feel like it would suit my needs alittle better. or spend the $300ish to set up the roofrack for all of it.
