Dieselbigot: Could you post some close up pics of your suspension please? My buddy is building a similar vehicle and is interested....

Thanks,

Thanks mucho...were these taken on the Rubicon?

the one on the left is rubicon (soup bowl), the other is at the hammers...sledge IIRC

I tow a 2100lb steel deck 18ft trailer with a 2400lb Miata and a set of tires or two...NO PROBLEM through the mountains of Tenn and eastern Ky. My buddies get mad at me for running off and leaving them. I would like to ask the package that you guys upgrade to for a 98 LC shock and spring setup! I have the towing package but I have a real intrest in being a bit firmer. Thanks!

Most guys are upgrading to the Old Man Emu setup, such as offered at Sleeoffroad.com. Gives about a 2" lift with the option of meduim or heavy rear springs.

I'd say firestone airbags for the rear... OME also has replacement springs that do not lift the vehicle.

Bilstein makes HD series stock replacement shocks which should be firmer than stock.

And this is the wife's '00 DD so I don't get to do this very often. Don't know why I feel guilty working it hard, it's built for it. :D

your wife's DD is that tractor? damn, she must love you to drive that thing every day! :flipoff2:
