The story of Trippy. When I go overseas, I put an AirTag on my bag to track it. Last month I had one in my bag, and since we may be out in the field for days, I can track my bag in the hotel room every time I get cell reception. Fly back to the US and get expedited through, and my bag did make it but was left behind on the domestic connection, thanks United! Flying out of Houston I could track my airtag still on the ground.

Two days later my bag is delivered, but it was ripped open and the AirTag was gone, still in the plane as we can see it bounce around between airports, tracking the plane tail number on the flight radar website. We changed the name to Trippy as it was just jet setting around until the battery died. Has been doing this since 5/1.

Then, this morning, it is showing that it is in TelAviv! It did fly to Newark last night. Shalom Trippy, shalom….

No, I’m not on the No-Fly list…but this is the kind of crap I deal with almost every time I travel. A backpack with a laptop and 2 days of clothes is pretty much my usual carry max. No special arrangements or seating. Yet this is what I get when I check in…. I always ask if it has something to do with the fact I never get a boarding pass link that actually works. They always tell me there’s no problems. Ugh.

No, I’m not on the No-Fly list…but this is the kind of crap I deal with almost every time I travel. A backpack with a laptop and 2 days of clothes is pretty much my usual carry max. No special arrangements or seating. Yet this is what I get when I check in…. I always ask if it has something to do with the fact I never get a boarding pass link that actually works. They always tell me there’s no problems. Ugh.

Yes, I do. But I very rarely receive a boarding pass, hence the kiosk. When Sarah books my flights I get texts and emails out the wazoo with more detail than anyone needs. I book it, regardless of how, and I get nothing useful in advance.

Nope.

Soon I'll get to see if I go 2 for 2 on pleasant TSA passage for this trip. Last time in this airport, in the Pre-Check lane, I was granted the wonderful status of "randomly selected passenger for enhanced personal screening and bag check". Only held me up for an extra 5 minutes tho. Seems they weren't looking to see if I had one of those air pod subwoofers installed, if you know what I mean .

Since I'm on some immigration groups and we obviously have to provide our tax transcripts as evidence of financial support, I have seen a shocking number of folks saying they've still not had their returns processed from 2+ years ago!

What airline?

I flew with Delta recently. Download their App, and download boarding passes on the app.
Notifications of any changes in boarding time, gate number etc make the process easier.
