I too have tried to get the Torque app set up correct and still am off. But I love it and the nexus 7 + blue tooth adapter. For $224 it is a hard to beat all you get ...

I don't think I'd buy a tablet just for scanning codes and getting live data. But, considering you can use the tablet as a big screen GPS and maybe as a search engine for businesses etc on the road if equipped with live data transfer, then yes, it becomes interesting and if available would alleviate the need for a dedicated device like a scangauge or ultra. There must also be some obsolete quasi-free Android phones out there that could work, no?
I've been thinking about the same thing. There are a couple of options that are out there but they're all pretty expensive. You read my mind. I'm planning an android based head unit but still haven't figured out the am/fm portion of it in my head.
I just purchased this OBD2 Bluetooth: http://www.rakuten.com/retail/product.asp?sku=224473806&SearchEngine=SkimlinksDirect&SearchTerm=224473806&Type=SkimlinksDirect&Category=Elec&c3ch=Linkshare&c3nid=TnL5HPStwNw&& and am going to use the Torque Android app for it.
My question is: Where is the OBD2 on the 100 LC's? I saw a picture of one but it was a close up and it looked like somewhere inside the cabin near the floor.
Any help here?
Right above the gas pedal beside the hump. Should be easy to find once you look.
I am also looking for the Transmission Temp PID for torque for a 2005 Lx470. I have tried changing the scangauge code fiound on mud but it did not work. Any ideas?
Yea I had same problem. I read your thread. I tried a bunch of codes. Does anyone have a working scangauge or torque pid for a 2005 cruiser. I spent some time playing with using a calculator to swap the scangauge code to torque pid but didn't work. If there was a different scangauge code I could possibly change it to a torque pid code.Couldn't figure it out, so I gave up for now. Here is my thread on it: ODB Fusion
Highway cruising with torque converter locked sits at about 120-140 F.. City driving usually between 150-170F
I use this scan tool:
ELM327 Bluetooth OBD2 OBDII CAN-BUS Interface Auto Diagnostic Scanner Scan Tool
And I was curious if anyone else ran into a similar issue I am having with it. It works great with Torque and does everything I need it to do, BUT if I leave it plugged in, it basically disables my factory keyless entry. Once I unplug the bluetooth adaptor, the keyless entry works again.
I live out here in Ca... So it can get a bit warm.. I see these temps anywhere around the 70-90 F ambient temps... Normal driving an average I'd say between 130-160 F tran temps....What ambient temperatures and what's the highest you've seen it?
I see +80F ambient on highway when TC locked.
Thanks!
Ditto. Same with my ELM327 OBD2 device. Key Fob will not work when plugged in.
My ELM327 is the larger one like yours.
ALSO, I have three mini ELM327's that just do not work on any vehicle .
They were Ebay purchases for not much money. Love to have a mini ELM327
that would actually work.
