What is your top speed in your 95 - 97 Landcruiser? And how long will it take to get your cruiser there?
Are you driving it in O/D or without? With or without power button?

I think mine is getting a bit slow lately.

BTW, don't mind miles or kilometers. I will convert it.

Mike

121 mph according to GPS and fluid on the floor (had on 295 at/ko's).

4.56's and blower

btw, Inever should have been doing that

my 95 model would do 250kph, on the rev limiter in 5th  [150mph]

Working out known rpm to calculate speed.

According to the "New car features" manual the maximum "crusing speed" is 80mph. Of couse they will go faster but 80 is the maximum speed for extended periods.

I've gone up to 100mph w/o a problem @ 3k rpm's, I believe... O/D was on and so was the pwr button... took me a while to get up to that speed. surprised how well the truck handled at that speed.

For my rig, 135 MPH at 4600 RPM's, at over 8000 feet altitude on a super straight super long section of smooth road. It was still pulling strong as the needle bumped the stop! As far as how long it took to get there, did not time that, but it hits 100 MPH in approx 22 seconds, it hits 60 MPH in 6.8 seconds, and it hits 66 MPH in 7.5 seconds.

DANG!!!

I GOTTA get me a Safara Turbo! Mine feels like I do 0-60 in about 15 minutes!! Bigger tires and Yakima rough rack are not helping, I'm sure. But I don't think I can justify the $3000+ for the turbo.

Speed costs money, how fast do you want to go?

i want to go turbocruiser fast!

stress puppy... that nice little turbo system that turbocruiser has, cost him $6000-$7000.

i'd rather go for the blown way for half the cost...

Actually according to the PO, it was approximately 4000 installed.

Been to a 100 a couple of times (GPS) but every time I get there I start thinking about the speed rating on the 37's and slow down.

Yes, I would not want to go over 100 on 37's for sure! In fact, I would worry with anything over 80, you got some cahones mi amigo!!!

Yes as they are melting below you!

I'm just happy if the 91 gets up to the speed limit on the interstate before a big hill
:)

The 94 just sees +/- 5 of the speed limit on Cruiser Control.

Do you guys just realize you've all admited to breaking the law in a public forum? :whoops:

You don't have to go that far. Bonneville or rent an air strip. Before moving to Idaho I lived in Montana in the days of the no speed limit. Darn tourists would come just to drive fast. Eventually they are the ones that made Montana have posted speed limits. I remember one guy came into a Chevy dealership where I worked in the summer with a suped up Camaro Z28. He had a Supercharger, etc.... He drove all the way from Texas just so he could see how fast he could go. I told him it would have been more economical to rent an air strip in Texas. Plus the cops couldn't give you a ticket for speeding so you got a ticket for wreckless driving and endangerment.

uh, my top speed was in the backyard :flipoff2:

Funny thing is it was almost double the top speed of my 40. The 40 would hit about 72 if going down a steep hill and I was in a tuck :D

My 40 with 454, and 36" swampers I had to 200kph [120mph] with 10 psi in the tyres, on a dirt road in the bush, while running with some guys on dirt bikes who couldnt keep up, 4wding, or on the dirt sections during the day :D

Could fit my fingers out through the gap where the top of the factory doors were sucked out off the rubber :whoops:

Had the 80 doing 200kph in the sand dunes at Portland afew times too :ban:

??????????? 150 mph ???????????????

My other vehicle is slightly less aerodynamic than my LC and it has 478 RWHP. That is NOT this factory make believe at the crank stuff and it can barely push 158 MPH.

I would suspect that a FZJ80 LC would have to have over 650 RWHP to propel it to 150 MPH.

What in the world have you done to your cruiser and sell me your information.

Uh, lurker, the shed guy is not your typical enthusiast. He puts a little more skin in the game and really knows his sheeeeeeeeeeeeeet.
