The Jap's don't even make things like they use to. :'(
94fzj80 tools on left
87fj60 tools on right
You can't see it very will but the quality and thickness of tools have gone down from 1987

At least toyota still supplies a tool kit.

60 series darn good? since when!

1963-1972 FJ40/45/55 included:
ball peen hammer
pliers
crecent wrench
lug wrench
spark plug wrench
6 piece open end wrench set
3 (three) screwdrivers
mini grease gun with both straight fitting and offset zirk fitting.
adjustment kit that included:
spark plug file
carb adj wrench
blade type feeler gauge
spark plug gap/gauge tool

then you could have cool things like wheel chock, needle nose pliers, sockets, offset wrenches, etc, etc, etc.

the 60 series kits were lame!
(and while I am out of tool sets, I still have canvas bags available)

It just goes to show how thing go down hill over the years. What do the New Cruisers get? A phone # they can call???
I think they reduced the tools as the $ went up. The hi $ people tend to not use these tools let alone know what they are for :D

I like the 60 series tools too. My 40 had the jack and handles but nothing else. When I bought my 60, the tool bag appeared to have never been opened and the jack was clearly unused. Even the original spare was still under the rear deck, and it too was unused. Pretty odd, that in 180k miles, the original owner wouldn't have at least peeked once in the bag to see what was there. I guess he never had a flat either.

LOL....was thinking the same thing ;)
