So as we were unloading from the FG my Dad starts his car and there is a rumbling under the hood. Its a Scion TC. Now it sounds like an alternator bearing but could also be a water pump or AC compressor. Any suggestions on the best way to diagnose? I haven't really had a chance to look at it in any great legnth since I had to leave for work right away.
My wife's Scion XD had a sound and it ended up being the water pump. Luckily the car was still under a extended warranty and was fixed for free.
