Those "gaskets" are actually bushings and I would do it myself. When putting in the new ones just put some grease on them for lubrication and put them in. You may need to use putty knives in order to get the leaf spring (with new bushings installed) into the spring hanger (I'm referring to the end that does not have the shackle, the fixed end).www1221us said:Hey, the other day I was off roading with my drunk friend(no names and no I was not DUI) and while I was moving he put the transfer stick from H2 to N. The gaskets that attach the leaf springs to the shackles are rapidly deterierating. Do I need to replace them and can I do this myself or should I take it some where? If I need to take it somewhere, does anyone know of any good places around Birmingham, AL
