I have an 03. I purchased in 07 & still have it to this day & it has some rust due to climate changes here. But nowhere near as much rust as this vehicle. It looks like it's been submerged & sitting in water for a while.

I have a 2003 LX470 purchased on 2009 in Boston with little rust underneath. This has way, way too much rust. I would pass on it.

Living in Texas, there's absolutely no point in buying that LX when you can find a rust free example in your area. Perhaps you have to spend a little more, but if you plan on keeping the LX for a good long while (like most of us on here), then you'll be much happier in the long run.

my 02 LC has zero rust on the back hatch. Zero rust in the engine bay. That one must have been submerged in salt water. I just don't get it.

I'm in Austin and went to see an 06 LX here at a used car lot. The owners had bought it sight unseen and shipped it here from NJ. It was a one owner car, all services done and looked to be in great condition. They were having trouble moving it because of the rust on the chassis and even that was nowhere near what this one looks like.

This was over a month ago (I since found an '05 with no rust in CA) and they actually still have it... Someone could probably work out a killer deal on it.

Some of the worst I've seen - don't do it!

That's what I said. That's a straight flood vehicle. Like it's been submerged up to the running boards soaking. My 03 has some rust but my rust doesn't look like this.

Rust is death. Especially if you are planning to work on it yourself, you're signing up for huge and unknown headaches. Run.

Agree with all the others that is bad. It either lived its life up here in the north or was in a flood. I picked up an 05 that has lived its whole life here in the upper midwest with little to no rust. Being in Texas you should be able to find a near rust free one, sometimes just takes longer than one would like.
