TLCA renewal reminder process

I'll bet some of the folks that expire would not have lapsed if they were able to sign up for auto-renew somehow. I'm sure this has been discussed before. Some magazines allow you to set up auto-renewal through PayPal. The subscriber has to opt in, and can also opt out at any time. Can we set this up, or do we do it already?

That, and I think renewal reminder post cards periodically would help, too. Many of you with magazine subscriptions probably get several reminders in the weeks and months leading up to your renewal date. We are bombarded with renewal reminders by one in particular, Saveur, which seem to come bi-weekly. I'm not suggesting that, but a quarterly or semi-annual post card reminding people to renew might get a few people to renew early or extend their membership. And I think the emails generated from the TLCA.org web site should include a link to "SIGN UP OR RENEW NOW". It won't hurt, and again it might get a few takers.

Poof.. Done.. Well done about 2 something years ago.. ON the bottom of the TLCA application there is a little box that says, I would like to sign up for autorenewal.

On-line via PayPal is what I'm talking about. Who uses paper any more? Paper is very "old school". Poof, yourself! :D

Not sure bind ins are the most effective way. I assume these are in the middle of the magazine and sometimes things get busy and you don't read every page.

I know several people that there TT stopped coming and they are wondering if their membership is up. It's not my place to mention their name. Treat it as unsubstantiated if you want to.

Here is the bind in. It is printed on heavy paper stock and bound in right after the front cover. This is the same bind in that goes in to the 2nd to last issue & the last issue. Along with this is the renewal form.

Duly noted as unsubstantiated. Thanks for taking some heat off of Jeff!
