Now come on Bill. I have yet to find where TLCA has actually said that.

Of course they were not jumping up and down but hey I don't see anyone jumping up and down about the new 200.

I really enjoy having the FJC's in the club. You guys and gals are a good bunch of people ( except for Juice box) and hey you don't smell and most of you wear shoes. If that's not something to be happy about then I don't know what is.

On a serious side. Without you guys around there would be no one to pull our old hunks of junk out of the woods. New and reliable is good with me. They are just as much a Land Cruiser as any other vehicle out there.

Hey now - it's Juice Box with a capital 'B' - where did you go to school? :grinpimp:

. . . and (1) hey you don't smell and most of you wear shoes. . . . (2) Without you guys around there would be no one to pull our old hunks of junk out of the woods. . . .

1) I stay downwind and usually slip on the flip flops when I get out to:

2) get some use out of that winch and all that recovery gear I spent good $$$'s on and never get to use unless I come out with you guys and your decrepit antiques :flipoff2:

I only kid because I love.

PS But it's still not 'officially' a Land Cruiser. So I don't need TLCA. And after that 'culture' comment on another thread I'm not sure I belong in UC either.

I've always been suspicious of any organization that is willing to admit me as a member, even more so one that solicits my membership. Shows a definite lack of discernment IMO :bounce:

TLCA has never had issues with the FJC. In fact, they featured pics of the first models in their yearly calendar right off the bat. Plus, the bylaws of TLCA don't say you have to have a Land Cruiser. They say "Membership is open to families that own Toyota Motor Corporation manufactured four wheel drive vehicles and sponsors (businesses)."

Chill OUT ! ! !
I never said TLCA denied FJCs. I was referring of course to the TLC community and the petty snarly controversy on the forums in the early days of the FJC.

Jeepers. I should never try to take my strange ideas of humor public.
I bought my C precisely because to me it embodied the long lost concept of the true Land Crusher, last seen in the FJ55 and departed from farther and farther since.

Reminds me of the old Beemer controversy of K bikes and oilheads not being 'true' beemers, that only airheads were true beemers. I know this means little to anyone on this forum but it's the old case of progress vs tradition. Reactionaries vs progressives. Harleys vs clones. Etc.

Where is JP I know he has opinions about beemers.:D

I will agree FJC owers got a rocky start on mud in the beginning. BUt with clubs like ours and MUD to support them things have come around. There will always be naysayers but one thing I have learned about MUD is you have got to have a little thicker skin. Maybe not Pirate thick but thicker.

We all have different personalities our common bond is we like cruisers and hanging out. Thats good enough to me.

I'm mainly here for the class and culture.
Oh yeah, and the pizzas.

OK, now you've crossed the line. Blasphemy I tell you, pure blasphemy!!!!!

Sorry, what was I thinking? Should have said Gee Whiz.

Leaving now to wash my typing fingers out with soap.
