I have a 1983 BJ40. Although registered as a 1983 model, in reality I have come to learn that it’s actually a 1980 (December) model. I am looking to purchase better tires and have narrowed down my tire size and make of tire search. Pretty sure that I will pick up a set of 31” X 10.5” tires for my 16” x 8” wide rims. Tire brand will be either BFG K02’s or GoodYear Wrangler Duratrac’s. As my rims are 16’s, does any one see a conflict with rubbing, handling etc with these tires? Also curious about tire brand - thoughts about each tire, the good, the bad and the ugly!

I have Duratracs on my 40 & 100, best all around tire I have found. You can even stud them.
What size are you running? I’m curious if using 31x10.5’s on 16” rims will be ok. Most if
My driving will be on the road but will do some trail driving….nothing too challenging though.
