I need new tires for my HJ60. I'm running 33 x 1050 BFG AT's.

Local tire shop shows them on back order and not scheduled for production any time soon (more than 4 weeks out).

33 x 1050 MT's and 33 x 950 AT's are in stock. I want to keep the stock wheels and I'm a fan of tall and skinny, so 12.50's are out.

I run the MT's on my 55 and they are noisy on the highway. The HJ60 is my DD, so I'm concerned about the noise level.

The 60 sees very little wheeling, that's what the 55 is for. Do I go with the
9.50's or the MT's? Any other options?

Thanks

Howdy! I'd jump on those 33 x 950 AT's. You'll never notice a difference. John

I have the 33 x 10.5 MT on my 60 and I don't notice any road noise. but then agiain that is the only tire that I can really remember having on our 60, so I don't have anything to compare it to.

The 9.5's are great from what I hear. I want to buy a set of them to be my winter tires, Maybe even have them studded.

Good luck.

IF its not going off road then dont do the mt. They will have more road noise and they will not wear as long.

I agree with inkpot, stick with the AT's, and get them soon if in stock. I had to wait for 2 weeks to get my 32 x 11.50 MT's and talking to several dealers, that was fast.

I'm am leaning towards the 950's. We run them on the 40 and the MT's on the 55 are great off road but noisy.

I guess great minds think alike, the 950's make the most sense for my use.

I like the look of tall skinnies. But if you are not going to wheel the 60 much, I wouldn't get the M/Ts and you may want to look at other brands. I have been happy with my limited experience so far with Bridgestone Revos (other SUV) and GY Wrangler Silent Armors (my 60).

Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like the prices on BFG A/Ts have really gone up. It makes it that much easier to try other tires like the ones I mentioned or some other tires that I see frequently recommended like Nitto Terra Grapplers or Firestone Destination A/Ts.

Of course, I'm not sure any/all of those tires are available in a 33x10.5
