Tips on Removing Transmission (1 Viewer)

Hi all got a 91 3FE. Im going to remove the auto tranny myself. I have the repair manual but does anyone have any tips for me that i might need?

Step 1: Get a really strong tranny jack.

Step 2: Get a helper.

Seriously, that thing is VERY heavy. I've pulled several, there's no way I'd do it by myself.

I just had the (un)fortunate experience of dropping my A440F five times. I created a spreadsheet outlining the steps. I do have a Chevy V8 that utilizes an adapter to the toyota tranny but the procedure should be almost identical. Shoot me an email at mmuthart@ctcweb.com and I'll return the spreadsheet to you.

Thanks fellas. Im going to use 2 jacks, one under the box and one under the transfer case.
