Time to Upgrade- Lift and Tire Size Choices (35 v 37's)?

My understanding is that this will be a production lift.

This thread once again reminds me how much I wish there was a 36" TrXus. Hmmm where have I heard that before? Or any other reasonable 36" tire I could DD. Just can't bring myself to Irocks or traditional swampers.

There is the KM2 that i just noticed in 345/75R16. (36.4" x 13.6" on a 16" wheel) Higher load rating than the 37; ability to use stock wheels and about $50 less per tire. It has me wondering if I can squeeze it in the wheel well.
I agree that 36" is the sweet spot for these trucks. 35 or 37 aren't bad either.

Cooper also makes them in 325/80R16. Every time I have priced them, they are ~$70 more per tire than the 37/12.5R17, so went with the 17" rims. Would prefer to run the stock rims, but fitting would be more of a challenge, any spacers available would push them out more than ideal, would rub on the outer fender edge.

i also read somewhere there was a tall 36/short 37 in the new mt/r kevlars. 325/85/16 or something like that. that would definitely open up the taller than 35" options..

can u find this? i am having no luck. saw the KM2 and STT in the 36 though

Listen to the wife and just step up to 36 or 37's. I'm regretting only going 315/75's.

I remember when I first came to this website.
Back then it was all about 35's.
Now that I finally get some 35's of my own, 37 is the new 35.

We are pretty squarely getting on to 39's. The best solution is always to be happy where you already are :D

The problem here is "325" - you don't want to be going wider as that problem is a lot more difficult than diameter on an 80.

As Tools has said, tires like the 37" STT are in reality more of a 36". Trxus are every bit as big as advertised (37.3") which is why I need 3/8" longer LCA's to run them.

Listen to your wife! :princess: If your wife wants you to get 37s, do it. Why are you even asking us?

Yeah you dont wanna hear, "I told you so" for the next couple of decades. lol

I spoke with Frankie this morning and he says that his lift for "heavier" trucks is in limbo. He asked me to call back in a few weeks to check on status.

Just thought I'd let people know the current status of a heavy load FOR lift.
