After a mud purchase while deployed, I'm back home in Augusta and ready to get her on the road! I got this 45 from mud member Gary in PA. Luckily, the 45 never made its way out of his garage and on the roads of PA due to remaining on the back burner for several years. Gary gave me a good deal at $3,500.

Since being home, I now am a tlca member and pending membership with UC.... I am a big Crimson Tide fan so... I actually attended a UC event a couple years ago at Ralph Hayes but never joined due to back to back deployments. I cannot wait to attend somevfunctions and wheel with you guys.

Well, here she is.... I was told she runs. As you guys can see, she needs a lot but is pretty solid for a 67. I picked up a new rotor, points, gas cap, brake master cylinder, spark plugs, fuel filter, etc from Ralph Hayes. I bought a clutch master slave conversion from jtoutfitters too. I bought a 45 driver's seat from kkt. Looking at these pics, you can see that the truck needs major components as well. An exhaust for starters. A 45 passenger bench. I might go back to ball and claw axels, we'll see. Bottom line, I plan on a budget resto.... how much of a budget, not sure. Any help and suggestions are soooo welcomed. I'm glad JP is in Augusta! Hope to see you guys soon! Daniel.

Pics to follow.

Congrats on your recent purchase and more importantly THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!!!! Looking forward to meeting you soon! Check the events thread in the stickies.

Finally got pics uploaded on Picasa... some of the pics are of my 67 fj40.

Anyone else having issues with the link? I cannot seem to download these photos that are saved on my phone. JP, I have a couple on my FB page.... just search Daniel Watters. You will see a pic of my two boys on my avatar. I will put a few more on that way.

Daniel..... congrats on the purchase and Im looking forward to seeing this one hit the road too.

I was next in line for that 45 from Gary when he told me it was heading to Georgia. That was a good deal on what looks like a good truck to start from.

I am the anitfacebook guy.....any way we could convince you to toss up some photos on mud or through photobucket or the like (guess you tried picasa but link doesnt work for me) Anyways welcome to the 45 world. I see an east coast 45 run in the making :D we got 4 mud members here in NC and ive seen 2 others on the roads, plus several in the UC club that ive never seen in person and a few more down in GA, and then matt's machine down in FL. All and all a real possibility for a future trip as I see it.

Keep us posted on the progress and lets start the plan to get all the lpg's together.
Thanks for your service and stay safe if/when you deploy, till then get to bustin knuckles on that truck!!!

Good deal... an east coast 45 run would be awesome. Let's toss a date and location out there and see what gets stirred up! I say early November in a nice centralized locale... Augusta, GA... lol. That will force me to do something with the 45. I just got back from a long family vacation and now it is time to get hot on this. I promise to get some pics up somehow..... I'm going to need help with this 'ole truck. I will post updates as they occur. Later!

Nothing to really update as far as mechanical or restoration. I did manage to buy a khaki canvas 45 top and a full set of bows yesterday. Now I just need to start on getting this thing running.

installed the new brake master, clutch master and slave. tomorrow I will chip at it some more.

I'm pleased to announce that the 45 is running! I spent 45 dollars at Advance Auto on hoses, clamps, fuses, and a antifreeze reservoir. I got home and replaced fuses and a few hoses... then I simply put in new gas, oil, and antifreeze. The truck started on the second try.

I had already purchased points, spark plugs, rotor, filters, etc... I have not installed because I busted wanted to make sure the 1f ran. Well it does. Today I will work on the brakes, clutch, and some wiring.

That is great news Daniel!!! Sorry I haven't been able to lend a hand I have just been swamped:frown: Hopefully I will have some free time in the coming weeks.

Good luck getting everything buttoned up
