BTDT, amazingly, one of the few parts I'd never dicked with. Developed a vibration and got under it to wiggle everything and....Viola! ALL the flange bolts were loose.
Glad you didn't fawk anything up!

I got all the crap off my roof and found one of the two bolts - the other was missing - thanks for the pic's
 
Also make sure the spring washer under the nut is not flat yet. Same thing happened to me on the way to Rubithon 2003. All of a sudden, there was a funny noise on the freeway. We stopped and found two of the bolts holding the rear driveshaft to the diff was gone, and the last two were dangling.

loctite em' and whenever possible put the bolt end in from the front (less likely to fall out if they do come loose ) aircraft mechanics use that principle.Bolts from the top or the front. From the most direction of travel.
