The harmonic balancer on the Turdle decided to part ways with the outer two-groove section of the pulley. All six rivets sheared off clean. I am in need of a good three groove HB/pulley. I thought I could use a spare I have here in the shop but as it turns out, it is a 2 groove so no go. I believe the 3FE pulley will work on a 60 series truck. The pulley diameter for the 3FE is smaller so a belt change will take care of that. If anybody has a good 3 groove HB/pulley they'd be willing to let go of, let me know.

Thanks,

Dave

I realize I have given you some of this info yesterday but.....

Arrived today and looks good. I purchased it through Auto Zone online and received a $34 gift card for each $100 I spent. And Auto Zone was $81 less then other sites I found. Check out Pioneer.com.

Sorry, forgot the photo.

David,

Autozone wants $445 for the one I need.:( I guess looking on the bright side that is $136 worth of gift cards. :hmm:

I understand. I bought a used HB from IPOR and it is bent and shakes the whole truck. I wish I had bought this one first and not the used, junk part, I would have been driving now and not having to go through tearing down the front of the 40 again. Unless I have no other alternative, I will never buy another used, junk part again.

Buying used parts sight unseen is never a great idea. OTOH if you can put your eyes and hands on a part and feel good about it that is the way to go. I don't put a lot of faith in anything that Autozone sells. That's just me. I've gotten lots of brand new garbage from them.

Yeah but the pulley is removable from the HB on the 3FE version. I have a sneaky suspicion that the part you linked to is just the outer pulley and not the whole HB/pulley combo. The picture does not show the HB which is a larger diameter than the pulley and should be visible if the pulley were attached to it.

Picture looks like a complete unit but if not sure give Jason @ CruiserYard a PM. I've purchased a few odds and ends from him with no trouble. User name on mud is arcteryx.

Rice, I didn't see the second picture. You're right. It does look like a complete unit. I've PM'd Jason just to make sure. Thanks man!

Confirmed! The part from Jason is the whole assembly! Rice, I owe you a beer. Thanks for the link!

Happy ending!
