I picked up a stage 2 chip from Thorton a few weeks ago. I’ve put maybe three hundred fifty miles on the chip since the install.

So far I’ve given it a very good mix of in town driving, interstate driving in WV and OH and about seventy five miles hauling my SxS up and down hills.

I‘ve realized about a 3-3 1/2 MPG increase in the “overall“ driving conditions. The throttle response was immediate. The stage 2 is supposed to give a 40hp gain. While I can’t attest to the HP gain without a dyno reading, I can say with certainty that the increase is “noticeable”.

Three stages advertised available. Stage 1 20hp, stage 2 40hp and stage 3 60hp.

I’ll post back up in a moth or so for additional comment/performance.

So what does your dash say your average mpg is? 3mpg is no joke.

@kbahus

16..2 on a trip through Ohio (Flat to rolling) W/a average speed of 75 on cruise control. The real gain I’ve noticed is pulling my trailer. I never saw above 11.4 In WV. That’s a 12 Ft trailer with a Honda 500 Pioneer. I’m A Rock solid 15 under load up and down hills. My in town driving yesterday was 14.9. So the 3-to 3 1/2 is pretty significant.

I’m on a 250 mile round trip in the AM to go bird hunting in PA. It’s up and down hills across central WV into PA. I’ll post up my start and finish mileage and see how it looks. That will be a little over 600 miles on the chip.

What I’m really noticing is the throttle response and felt torque/hp gain. I have no way to gauge that other than seat of the pants feel.

Tank filled approx 1/2 tank of 87 Octane.

14.7 on the ticker at the beginning of the trip. Approx 300lbs in the bed.
1st leg trip total 44 miles. 41 miles in 2WD - 3 miles in 4WD H. Cruise set at 70. 14.7 at the destination.

14.7 starting the 2nd leg return trip. 14.9 on the return home (-300lbs).

The trip is up and down N/central WV hills on US 50. I was lucky to see 12 mpg before on this trip.

I’m headed to Akron OH in the AM hauling a trailer w a Fj40 Hardtop and front rear doors.

I’ll post up the results on Monday.
