Congrats Russ! I am still trying to decide which one to take on the McGrew this year, that is unless the 60 sells, but I'm not pushing the sale too hard :)

Thanks. I still have to go down and paw over it myself but Brett T said it look like a great deal and believe it or not, he got the price down $1100 just by talking to the guy. Wow. Sixer of local micro brew for him.

I think this might be one of the few times this phrase is used...

This thread is worthless without WORDS :grinpimp:

Give us all the details on it, what it's got and what you're planning.

congrats!

Didn't think of it that way. Boy, that's funny.

1993 FZJ80 with 142K. Upper end done at 120K.
Yes, lockers(wouldn't have it any other way)
DK Green(not my first choice but colour isn't everything. Besides, it'll show where I've been)
New brakes, rad, tstat, CD player/speakers AND
the seats have been reconditioned(?)
Plans: "I don't need no stinkin' plans"
Really I do. Mostly dreams since this purchase will probably drain my funds for a while, but...
like my 60, the first while will be getting used to it and bringing it up to par.
Dump a little cash into it, maint, etc and get rid of the AT tires.
I have a Norcold for trips and the lockers so...the first mod I'd like after tires will probably be sliders. Clipped the edge on my 60 on the McGrew so that's probably a good idea.
The rest is the usual: lift, bumpers, winch(which will probably get used more for skiding fire wood) and a dose of Slee, George's, and who know what else.
Plan on keeping this one for a while so I have time to be patient, hit the swap meets and what not.
I'm excited but a little sad to see the 60 go. Been a good beast.
And Mr. President, this is the one in Eldorado Hills. Didn't hear back from DL on the other one and this one did pan out.
There you go boys, hope that's enough words for now.
Sure there'll be more as I tear into this one.
 (with Big smile on face)

too bad you're heading down on Sunday. If it was a weekday, I'd suggest that you stop by Ike's Deli in Rancho Cordova -- it's just a quick detour off Hwy 50 on the way to Eldorado Hills. They have the best sandwiches...made on their own fresh baked fluffy pita bread...

:D

but alas...they're closed on weekends.

thanks for the tip anyway mate.

Looks just like mine. 94?

Congratulations! Oh.. and green really should have been your first choice.

EDIT: Woops.. never mind. Found the words.

Congrats, and might I say, EXCELLENT color choice!

If I had left mine alone ours would be almost perfect twins.

Congrats Russ! Sounds like you found a good one and quickly.

chomping at the bit excited. Got the funds today and will head out early Sunday and then the woopie begins.

Look out world. Russ is escaping from behind the Redwood Curtain, if only briefly. :flipoff2:

Drive safe down 101 my friend! :D

thanks Brett. It's been raining and will continue to rain, and rain, and rain, maybe for ever up here. Me might break into some sun down Sacto way, I hope.
Still comping...

Bite your tongue.............:whoops:

That happens to be a most excellent color.:D

Same color as Mudrak's 80. He seems to think they look good with mud on them. Just reporting what he said...

M

Mud is one thing but the McGrew scratch the heck out of my 60 and it's sliver. Colour isn't everything.
