Sanden’s mount horizontally. Modern style of compressor since the early 90’s.
Heh heh, you said “Mount horizontally…”

Sorry, I will go try to add value somewhere else since I am not contributing to the technical content of this thread…

This is the type of compressor and this is the mount on a 2F, Iam hoping I can find one with the larger V belt, groove.

Has anyone used a kit like this to replace the factory hoses for the AC? It seems the fittings on my factory AC is all -an fitting. Not sure about the orings, still in planning stages.

So @J Mack , will these fitting work for 79 factory Toyota AC?
I believe the switch from R-12 to R-134a began in the late 1980s early 1990s.

Look for R-12 to R-134a adapter fittings "45° to O-ring" and then you could replace all the hoses with newer barrier hose and fittings but unless you're updating your entire system I would stick to the R-12 system and fill it with the R-12 Eco safe refrigerant..

Wonder if these would work?

Darn, and now this link is dead.

If you all wanted to drop the 3FE Denso AC compressor in, but I need some fittings to connect new lines to the compressor manifold - where would you start looking?

The page is gone but the site still exists.
The link description you posted says -
“The adapters are standard #8 discharge and #10 suction fittings…”
Just need to know what the fitting needs are to hook up to the compressor and what size hose you are using then search that combo.

Here is the 3FE compressor and manifold that I need to connect to:

It looks like @cruisermatt sells some adapter fittings for an LS (Delco?) style compressor that look similar to what you need. Maybe someone out there is making something similar for the 3F?
@J Mack ?

From the photo it looks like you could use two straight sections of hose and a hard 90. I do appreciate that photos can be deceiving.
