I highly recommend buying a new set of those studs/washers/nuts from the dealer (or C. Dan) before replacing that manifold gasket. and if you CAN get your rig down here, we could do that manifold gasket while the carb soaks...

For an $800 savings, I would rent a truck and trailer and haul it there. You would still come out better than your mechanic.

If you replace the manifold gasket (at the block), do yourself a favor and buy a Remflex: RF7009. That is an awesome product, especially for those of us running single-piece headers.

$836???? Did that at least include a "happy ending"?

Thanks, Mark if she runs 1/2 as good as it looks I should be doing good. Is this a bolt up and I'm good or will I need to make some tweaks once installed?
