Hulsty, how much was the w/s frame?

Its a second handie from my mate with the Turbo HZJ75. I hit a tree branch and trashed my screen and frame. Put some more vids in that chat thread too. Its a fiberglass one with a new screen already fitted. I have a spare steel on in the shed that has had rust repairs done.

Where in Perth can you get new glass for $75?

National auto glass supplies in malaga denninup rd blue building i think its a wholesale place (dont think its ment for public) but they dont seem to fussed i just walked in the big side roller door once and asked a worker i need to pick a glass up for a 75 series in the office $75 and on my way ,ive bought 3 from there over time , just double check the size if any one gets one ,they gave me a troopy one accidentally once (i thought it looked a bit big lol )

I might try them,I need one for my new frame. I live up that way so its even better.
I think last time I payed $195 for someone to supply and fit at my place.
Do you notice what brand of glass they are?

Not sure of the brand ,i put mine in myself/with a mate and a rear troopy glass the other day so its slowly getting easier.
I just put a the rubber on glass then a skinny rope in the rubber bit were the window frame go's then (a mate) pushs the glass and rubber against the frame while you (inside the cab) pull the rope it lips the rubber over the frame it took me 3 shots on my first glass:mad: but needed it in on a sunday for a sunday 4bee:D

Bit of a picture sequence from a recent trip out, couldnt quote make it all the way up, need a 1' winch and was off again. Cars going well, slowing putting together a new 3F and H55F with lower gearing for it. Needs new shocks, particuarly the fronts, they are waay to short being stock toyota 80 series rears.

Only had the 33''s on for this trip, the GQ patrols were both running 35''s pedes and drove up the climb I was stuck on.

nice action shots mate

You would have made it with the 35s on :)

do you still run the std diff gears with your 35's
i want 315 7516 but get told it will kill the power factor in my cruiser

Woulda made it easy! With standard gearing on 35's on road is pretty crap, accel is slower than normal and braking not as good, can only use 5th on the flat. Offroad for the driving I do I dont find them to bad, downhill and the really tough stuff, like driving and winching I could do with more reduction. I'm fitting low range trasnfer gears soon from a auto 12HT to my transfercase.

when you say you want more reduction does it mean it is for the whole final ratio or just when your 4x4in in low range mate

If I was daily driving on 35's I would want low gearing in high and low range. I really only use them occasionally so am going for low range reduction only which will be of most benefit going down steep hills or very slow going.

I still find low 2nd quite useable for my current driving with all stock ratios and a 3F

Went for a thrash today in the Barron to test out the Longfields and they are bloody FANTASTIC! gave it heaps with the front locker and they didnt falter at all. Nearly rolled it onto its side though, rear wheel was off the ground and front JUST touching, at 35 degrees side slope. Also smacked passenger door and mirror with a tree and winched the drivers door over a rock, all in good fun!

There is a GU turbo diesel patrol on the other side of this smoke

Awesome bush and tracks in the pics Hulsty. Is that in the Otways? I'm heading to Cobaw tomorrow
and hoping for some challenging tracks. Cobow is about an hour north of Melbourne. Have you been there?
