After over a year of the saga, the piggy is coming home today. We are headed out to get her this afternoon.

I'll post up pics when I can get them...it's raining like hell here, so it should be interesting.

HAMOM is in the near future. I have some parts to finish up rebuilding and then I will be ready to get her back on the road. Here's a list of what I know needs done:

New battery
Stock fuel pump and fuel lines
Stock carb and linkage
Front heater motor
Alcan leaf springs and all new bushings
shocks
shackles
new wheels and 35" BFG MT's
hubs (if the ones I have fit)
Weatherstripping
Glass with all new rubber (all windows)
rear heater and lines
tranny hump
window glass and regulators all around
new rear window brass gear
rebuilt front turn signals
marker lights and rear turn signals
new headliner
insulation above headliner
seat brackets
seats (after I have them recovered)
door inserts and cargo area inserts (after I have them recovered)

I am sure there is more...but that is all I can think of off the top of my head.

So who wants to come to Atlanta???

Count me in!

Glad to hear it. Let us know if you need any help of have any questions. We also have a couple of trucks worth of misc parts.

Im just happy to see another 55 back on the road.

Thanks Steen!!!!

And Michael, you will be receiving a call...believe me. I gotta get through the Holidays and I want to get everything done that I can. Then she'll be coming to you to finish up what I can't (or don't want to) do.

I am going to need a lesson on how to adjust those silly drum breaks too.

Congrats Heather, i know you got to be excited to see her.

The drum brakes are kinda a pain.....learned that one right before the cullowhee trip. Cant wait to see this piggy in her new skin!!

Sneak peek from the last time I checked on her.

I know you are very excited after hearing you talk about your PIGGY at Cullowhee...but also frustrated after all this time with what is left to fix.

If you set up a wheeling weekend I would be willing to come out and drink beer and hold the tools for those that know what the hell they are doing. :D :D

Sorry Brock... that's my job. You'll have to find something else to do. :grinpimp:

Always up for a road trip.:D

And I have a bunch of 55 parts Chuck Stewart gave me. So I'll load a box up of it and bring it down just in case.

Just give me a date and I'll be there.

Once the date is set... and I confirm with the boss that nothing is going on, I'll open up our house to some of you from out of town if you want to stay the night... I'm pretty close to Heather.

Do you provide a Turn Down Service? Can I get a wake up call?:D

I have your number... I can start the daily wake up calls tomorrow morning at 3:00 am.

Turn down as in, "you've just been turned down for entry"? Yes...

:D

careful...make sure that is a mint on your pillow before gobbling it up. LOL

Thanks everyone for your support! Steen, thanks for opening up your casa for folks. I will also make room for those that would like to stay. I'll have the keg and the food. Brock, you and Taylor can be grill master. And, the 55 is a pretty simple machine, we'll all be able to help without much skill (like me).

Let us know a date as soon as you can. I work every other weekend (technically) but I'm also the boss so I can make changes if I have enough lead time. Hell, for all you've done for UC, we should all turn the wrench at least once.
