Yea they are stock...we were talking a lot about the driveshafts probably going first

Still stock gear ratio? If yes, then it won't be R&P to go first, it will be some steering component. Ted knows this first hand.

that could be but we were more thinking what in the drive train would be first; drive-shaft, R&P, output shaft, axle shafts, etc...

Not a lot of horsepower, with stock gears and big ass tires, that stuff should be safe. Just my $.02. It will be interesting to find out what goes first.

Nothing is going to break cause its an 80 and 80's are awesome!

I think this is the first to go. I think it might be easy to fix now before it happens.

How can you fix this before it happens? Dont drive like Eric? :hhmm:

Hmm....Sounds like you need some spare driveshafts! Oh look I have two of them:D

Brian

I bet you have LOTS of parts you would like to donate to my truck :grinpimp:

Sleeve that lower arm. You already know it's going to be acting like a slider and going to get punished all the time. I was just talking with some CLC guys this weekend about HalfAss and specifically that lower arm. I found out that Daryl has actually utilized the arm to get the tire high enough to contact a vertical surface at a better spot rather than having the tire try to climb the whole face of the rock. This will help keep your driveline alive longer.

Yep, just about everything from underneath. I may need to drop by when you guys are working on it next and help out some/ learn some things. Who know maybe I will bring some extra goodies with me in trade for some help building sliders. AND we can do your PAIR valve removal and O2 relocation.

You should definitely come by and watch and lend a hand on working on the trucks. You will learn some and hear a lot of BS. As for the sliders, you will have to go through a hazing period first :grinpimp:...

The weather should be great tomorrow for creating lots and lots of gussets and other little things on the Franken80

Hope to roll it out of the garage tomorrow and maybe test the flex a little bit

Hi Nick,
Sorry I did not make it yesterday. Yard work and my Mom coming over to babysit the kids kept us preoccupied. Had to take the :princess: out for birthday, she had free tickets to the symphony and she has been wanting to go.

Its all good...We finished up final welding about 90% of the cage. Next weekend will consist of installing the Longfields and finishing up all the welding left to do.

Did you ever figure anything out with the exhaust?

Havent really spent much time looking at it in a while, but I think the plan is to just run exhaust pipe through where the cat was so it adds a little more clearance. The future plans down the road will be to reroute the whole exhaust differently.

I'll post more pics and info tomorrow, but here are some for now...great day!
