I was wheeling my 60 this weekend, and it got me thinking about the history of my cruiser prior to my ownership and where it has been before. If anyone has any information or knows anything about it please let me know! If someone has photos of it that would be even better.

What History I do know;
I got my 1985 FJ60 from Aubrey Alexander Toyota in Selinsgrove in February 2017. When I bought it I was told that a gentleman had come in and traded a dozen or so various older Landcruisers for one brand new 200 series, my 60 being one of them. The only other cruiser I saw at the dealership from his collection was a fully restored Blue FJ40. My 60 has definitely been repainted at some point, but it was always Freeborn Red. It had a stock front bumper that was chopped to fit a winch and a very old Rough Country lift (Still has the RC warning sticker on the glovebox). There is also an older "Classic Cruisers" sticker on the glovebox. I have pretty strong evidence that this Cruiser was the wheeling rig from the guy's collection, so I have to imagine its been around the PA Landcruiser circle before.
The photos below are what it looked like when I purchased it( it was on boggers when the dealership got it), the snorkel was very distinct as it was ABS pipe with an aluminum plumbing vent cap on top.

I saw them on the lot as well back in 2017. Probably caused an accident trying to gawk from the SB lanes and make a U-turn. To this day I start drooling as I drop down the hill by Skeeters BBQ wondering if there will be old TLC's lined up at the dealer. Sorry. This doesnt help you. I need therapy.

I didn't know anything about cruisers at the time, I just drove by on my way to Harrisburg and saw this neat looking Safari Truck that I knew wasn't a Jeep. Next day we were back there and trading our Sienna minivan for it. I got to many speeding tickets (I was 18 at the time) so my dad said he'd help me get it since it was so slow.

Well I remember back when this happened. I had heard about it and my wife and I drove to the dealer to see what was available. At the time I was there I didn't see a red 60, there was a 55 and a 40. The salespeople didn't seem to know what to do with them and would not put a price tag on either truck. I left there a bit disappointed and disgusted and never did buy anything from them.
I had heard too that one person traded in six older cruisers as partial payment for a new 200series. The sales people confirmed that yes the guy did buy a new cruiser. Unfortunately, I don't know too many cruiser owners in that section of the state and nobody from that particular area ever wheels with us as a club. Not that there aren't a lot of cruisers around that mid-state area but they are not active in the club.
I do not know the history of your 60. I have a feeling that possibly Matt Reed (crawlin40 here on MUD) might have an idea. He had a red 60 back in the day and my cloudy memory tells me he may have sold it to someone in the general area of the dealership. Feel free to contact him I'm sure he will be glad to help if he can.
Sorry I couldn't offer any more info.

No worries. I'll message him and see what he knows. Thank you!
