For a second I thought that was a pic of mine from the gulches!
Here's mine on Illinois Gulch:
Gonna be hard pressed to find color on Metberry or Longwater. They were part of the hardest hit areas of the Hayman Fire in 2002. Aspens are pretty fickle trees, but they're trying to grow. Most of the organic material in the soil was lost due to the extreme heat from the flames. It will be 100 years before that area is what it used to be.

This is above Arrowrock reservoir, south of Idaho City. We stopped to filter some water so my wife's headache could go away. The fresh water cured her headache. I now keep my filter in my recovery bag.
