Family trip through Monument Valley and Moab

Spent the last few days driving through Sedona, Monument Valley, and Moab with the family. Had a chance to put the Land Cruiser through a couple simple tests. Passed easily.

High Sierras

The :princess: and I went to the High Sierras outside Fresno, CA for a long weekend. Tons of great trails. Unfortunately we only ended up doing a couple.

The truck needed an alignment in the morning so that set us back a few hours and we didn't get to the trail head of the Strawberry Lake trail until 7PM. No big deal, it's less than 2 miles long.

The Trail ended up being super rocky and tight.

The :princess: got her first experience spotting, in the dark among misquotes.

2 hours later and nerves shot we made it to the campsite at 10pm. The campsite was very cool among boulders. But where is this lake?

There it is. Crystal clear. Good fishing.

The trail was a lot better the next morning.

High Sierras cont.

The trail was super tight for a 100 in some spots. Cleared between this tree and rock by a couple inches on each side.

Lunch in the sand flats where we started the day before.

They weren't afraid of the truck but they were afraid of a little girl saying "Shoo"

Then we took Kaiser Pass Rd to the Mono Hot Springs. The deadliest road has nothing on this road. It's broken pavement and single lane reaching 9300ft. I had to pass several f150s and similarly wide trucks on this road. With tires caressing the edge of the cliff more often than I'd like. But awesome views of the Sierras.

We hiked up into the Ansel Adams wildreness to find this spring fed lake that you could swim in.

More tiny details...switched out my mesh grille for the oem grille painted with bedliner in a can, first time I had the 06+ depo retros, arb bumper, and oem grille together, they pair quite nicely. Looks more modern, especially with the TRS blazer fogs in the inserts
