Let the old girl stretch her legs in Robe, South Australia. Nice spot to park up for lunch

Finished up my UCA/LBJ project and discovered my next project in the process. Everything went buttery smooth today after the learning experience of the driver side earlier in the week. UBJ was toast and had some movement in it. A real testament to Toyota build quality that it lasted 224k and didn’t self destruct!

While reassembling every thing I discovered it’s time for a new passenger side CV. Improper proper snap ring gap has led to “sawing”. I have a nice ramp instead of a clean notch!

Here’s to success…until next time! 🍻

I love Sierra Nevada Beer! Used to drink that exclusively when I lived in California.

Still the best vehicle of choice for tailgating activities.

Using the FlightRadar app, when we get bored me and my girls go out and watch planes land and guess the airline and city/state of departure of each plane, winner gets a reward.

My grandfather took my brother and I to the airport to watch airplanes when I was very young. He passed when I was 8, but I later learned he was a flying sergeant in WW2. I ended up retiring from the USAF as a pilot, so it definitely planted a seed.

My girls and I love going to watch planes land, too. There are some great spots for spotting the runway at Dallas Love Field on the E/SE side of the field. We also like watching the smaller planes at the regional Addison Airport in North Dallas. My oldest daughter (age 7) has said she wants to be a pilot or astronaut when she grows up. She is always thrilled when we encounter a female pilot. It's sweet.
