FINALLY SNOWED IN Southern Cali! Took the backroad, avoided the hundreds of people flocking up the mountains. Basically had the whole mountain to ourselves!

I JUST MISSED THE SNOW SICK PIC
I spent Christmas in frigid central Oregon, then hit a milestone going over Santiam Pass on the way home yesterday.
It snowed a little bit here in WI too!
Took the kids up to our favorite sunset spot to eat some hotdogs and enjoy the view.
While enjoying the sunset. We had an emergency when my nephew lost his rc Jeep off the side of the cliff. Had to break out the recovery strap to help my bro rappel down the hill. Yet another time the lc crew had to save a Jeep.
After enjoying the sunset we decided to run up the trail and find the snow.
Let the kids have a snowball fight in the headlights before we headed home.

Google Pilot Rock Trail, its a fire road that leads you to the backside of Lake Arrowhead. Usually takes 2 hours from the start of the trail to the end.
Sick! How'd that little heater hold up? I was thinking of getting one!
Great for a small tent or small enclosed area. But when it is out in the open, it can only keep 1 person warm. The heat does directly up, so you have to be really close to it to feel the warmth. I recommend the larger version if you want to keep a couple of people warm.

Christmas camping in West Florida. CVT Mt. Hood medium size (which it looks like they don't offer anymore on CVT site) held up flawlessly in cold driving rain night one and kept us totally content in a breezy 26 degrees night two.

New Year’s Eve with the kiddos.
Went out with the local outdoorsman group. Had a 200 and 80 with us. Plus a dope Samurai. And of course, my 100 pulling a JK over the hill. He didn't commit and got stuck near the top. I left the strap in the rear because the 100 was basically a rescue rig for that day. Haha so many newbie was stuck at the sand dunes
