Spent Saturday exploring calico.

Found an old campsite where we used to camp and shoot with our uncle when we were kids.

Kind of crazy how all of the old mines are blocked off nowadays.

What tail lights are these?
200 style tail lights. You might be able to find them on eBay. I got mine from a forum member. It really gives the rear an updated look imo

Found these Wheelers off road bump stops on my doorstep today!

Didn't know where else to post this question---

I saw this J100 today with VX.R on rear. I thought VX's were overseas cars, Thailand, Australia, etc.

Could this car have been imported long ago or did they sell VX's in years past?View attachment 2545343
The side decal looks okay. If you saw an OE winch (with cover) on the front bumper chances are that is a legitimate VX•R.

More likely, somebody picked up a non-US badge and some non-US graphics to add a little unique look to their vehicle. That said, you never know with Toyota, they have always been known to pick up the occasional vehicle destined for a different market to close a gap on import numbers or fulfill an order. I notice that this vehicle doesn't have the wing/wind deflector either, which is also rare, and the body-mounted side indicators. Maybe it "did" sneak in from somewhere else? I can see people adding badges ad graphics but not necessarily cutting into the body to add lights.

Always a possibility but there’s a lot going on in that picture.

Weird LX-ish lower door molding (graphics?)
LX rear bumper cover (also popular outside NA)
Graphics
Side markers
VX-R badge

I’d bet lunch that it has some other oddities when viewed from another angle.

I would be very surprised if Toyota had imported a one of a kind vehicle into the US to sell. The regulatory hurdles seem too much for that to happen.

Seen on government license plated flatbed in Vegas last night. Crappy cell phone pic I leave here for no reason other than curiosity. There was an additional vehicle behind it covered with a tarp. I'm guessing we are making the training as realistic as possible.
