How about a photo? I’d imagine that the E (10ply) version would be a little different than the standard version.
No rubbing anywhere. I added the spacers much later just for looks. I have the truck lifted slightly F/R also so that may affect rubbing results. I cant comment on spare tire fitment as I did not replace mine. This truck stays local so I didnt feel the need for a matching size spare. Any long distance trips are done in the wife's 200.

How’s your gas mileage with roof tent and bumpers? Curious..

It's not a loud rig at all. Which is great. I'm slowly going through and eliminating all the tiny rattles in and out, but the overall road noise isn't bad at all, the Cooper tires included...
But the gas mileage, might as well be called gas footage.
I knew LC get bad mileage... My new used purchase 06 LC is on its second talk of gas and it’s calculated as getting 9 mpg. Just put on 33s and I have a rooftop tent I’m planning to put on as well. Bumpers will be on hold for a bit. But not looking forward to even worse gas mileage! Could be I’m a little heavy on the foot being a new truck and testing it’s capabilities. Hopefully everything levels out. Lol.
I’d appreciate your figures when you get them.
Any other peps out there reading this have anything to add would be appreciated.

My '99 hunting rig is a HEAVY beast. Front bumper, winch, rear bumper with ladder and rack, roof rack, side bars, steel wheels with 285's. It gets about 11MPG assuming no heavy winds, mixed highway/street/trail use. My other '99 daily driver that is almost completely stock (same size tires) gets about 13MPG under the same conditions. I live with it, my philosophy is that we won't go to our death beds thinking "I wish I'd gotten better gas mileage", but rather reminiscing about all the great adventures we experienced with our Land Cruisers, the friendships built, the sights seen, the quality time with family, the sheer enjoyment of driving these noble beasts. I can't be the only one here for whom driving Land Cruisers is an inexpensive form of stress therapy, right? Even a quick drive as the afternoon wanes, windows down, your choice of tunes, and the rumble of the Land Cruiser underneath? Heaven.
How was the weather? My biggest issue with DV is fuel economy. A lot of trips have been based on when the fuel gauge gets to half a tank, better turn around and head back. Looking forward to more trips there in the near future.
Mid 30s to about 50 degrees and windy. AC was off so that does help. I brought an extra 5 gallons but didn’t need it. If you make sure to hit panamint springs and stovepipe wells then range shouldn’t be an issue.
@Exiled I agree. There’s not much need to discuss MPG on a Land Cruiser forum except to possibly uncover a maintenance issue or equipment failure. That’s not why you bought the truck, regardless of vintage. They all suck. Always have. Run what you brung and love it for what it is...reliable, stout, comfortable (mostly), long term ownership.
went wheeling with a Jeep buddy a few weeks ago. He pulled over and aired down, disconnected sways, put shackles on front and rear ”just in case,” and checked a few other items. All this after a 90min drive to the trails outside CLT. I did none of those things knowing, on these particular trails, I could follow him anywhere in street mode. Seat heater on. Coffee in hand. No idea what my MPG was. Doesn’t matter. Showed up a nicely built Cherokee without breaking a sweat and enjoyed the drive.

Bump... I'd like to see this
Went snowboarding when we got news of a storm rolling through. Stayed at my niece's cabin at Wisp ski resort, nasty 45 degree incline and 10" of snow to get up there, cruiser made it look easy.
