Do you typically air down to drive on sand? What type of tires work best? Are you in 4Lo all the time?
Yes, most of the time I drive in 14 psi however if the sand is very soft then I go around 10 to 12 psi. Light weight tires perform best in the sand. I am using yokohama geolander ATS 285, 75, 16

Great info as I'm planning to go to the dunes, are you in 4lo as well?

My 04 with 30mm spacers in rear and torsion bar raised some in the front. Just took off running boards today and need to get new pictures with them off.

Awesome! Is this the truck with the celebrity apprentice sticker that I saw at ACC a while back? Minimal roof rack looks good/ better! Fernandina ?
Thanks! I was at ACC a while back but I don’t know anything about a Celebrity Apprentice bumper sticker. My bumper sticker is a little more appropriate:cool:

I’m no pro, but I do a bit of very soft beach sand and beach trail driving.

Personally I air down to 12 PSI, lock the center diff, turn on second start (can’t remember what it is called, but it automatically starts in second gear from a dead stop). That’s it. I’m not driving up dunes, but there are some fairly steep inclines, and I haven’t needed 4lo at all.

I think we got even more snow than you on Saturday. 4" in northern IL.
Thats true! We were in Chicago on Saturday. Drive back that evening was absolutely terrifying!! Saw at least 20 cars spun off the I90, including a 6 car crash.

I managed to get a 100 and a 200 in one of my work photos today. Can you spot them?

Sorry, no prize this time, I think I lost the remainder of my Rick Russel Off Highway Adventure Series VHS tape collection in Hurricane Irma.

Nope. It is backed into the driveway in the top right townhouse.

Here's a ground level shot ocean side Key Largo from the week before. Most of the tourist stuff is fixed, but some folks are still cleaning and fixing their homes in some areas.

Here's my "new" 2003 LC. 108k on the clock, mint interior and 9 out of 10 exterior. One owner from AZ so undercarriage is great. Had a '00 that I regrettably sold about 8 years ago. Looked about a year for a low mile good condition LC. This one wasn't my first choice in color but the condition and mileage outweighed that and I gotta say, the color isn't so bad. Plan to immediately do the BT45TOY install and after these tires get close to needing replacement I will probably do the 2" OME lift with some bigger tires. I don't do any hard core trail riding but plan on this being a good vehicle for running the farm roads and beaches around here. It won't be a DD so maybe I can give it to my 5 year old when he turns 16!
