Where is the bottom photo taken @ikarus?

Great photos.

Had a day all to myself on Hatteras Island. Swam in the ocean, kayaked Pamlico Sound, had dinner in Buxton at the recommendation of a Cruiser buddy, then swam again. Great last day.

What's up everybody? New to the 100 series club, just picked this up a couple days ago.

2000, 176k, bone stock. Just took off the running boards to clean it up. Will be doing a bit of maintenance shortly, valve cover gaskets, heater t's, front and rear brakes... Will do tires in the fall. Looking forward to having some fun, light camping mods planned, awning, solar... just want to keep it close to stock and reliable. Will serve as a recreational vehicle and family hauler. If anyone is looking to unload some tan third row seats in Southern CO/Northern NM send a pm :)

Welcome! Looks good.

ih8mud...
Did the stick test and it didn't seem too deep, but there was no traction at the bottom and was super sticky. Luckily didnt have to get the winch out. Maxtrax are definitely worth the money if you go out alone.

Such a killer spot..... camped there a couple years ago when I was living up there.... cool to see the remanants of a watch tower up there, you run Abbott Rd to get there and do the slip?

I'm not sure what the "slip" is, but I posted a video of the drive up from the lower viewpoint. (in the video section)

You would know the slip if you saw it. Part of Abbott road got washed away and getting through the washout is not for the faint of heart. Steep, off-cambered, loose soil (depending on weather), and deep ruts. Did it solo in my 80 but have not tried yet in my 100.
