looking for 18's now :hhmm: ..... god that looks sick

when my KM-2's run down I'm going with those. God they look sweet, I can't believe how much better they look.

thanks for all the comments.

they are 18s. the tires are 295/70R18 nitto trail grapplers.

btw, world of difference if you hit it with a little semi-gloss black paint. i got lucky on craigslist. chrome is killing me. need to paint the grill and the rear trim.

hey guys:

started with 295 nitto trail grapplers.

BADASS!!!!!

not oem steelies.... they are around 24 lbs.

they are the lightest steel wheels on the market.
You're saying the 18x8 Tundra steel wheel on Aggietoy's 100 is only 24lbs? Really?

I would've guessed 34 lbs... and that too could qualify as the lightest steel wheels on the market!

My 17" TRD Rock Warrior alloys are 24lbs.

I thought the 16 inch alloys were 24 lbs each and the 18 steels were 44 lbs each. The steels look great on the 100.

different folks different strokes!

class of 99. thanks for making me feel old.

i can replace the brakes more often, that's fine. i mean we drive trucks that get 10 mpg, cost has kinda been thrown out the window.

Ha, class of '92 here!

High school or college?

88 and 92 for me

Grandpa out
He is refering to college as they both graduated from Texas A&M also known as Aggies.

yup. aggies unite.

weight wise, i'm glad i didn't have to mount the wheels. and i'm ok with the extra weight. i mean i probably would drive a prius if i worried about weight.

here's something cool: went to an ultra bougie tennis tourney (not personally, just had a booth for my gym there) and they had mandatory valet. my truck was parked up front next to some benzes, porsches, and bimmers. totally forgot to take a pic but all the valet guys were loving the truck. they were like "that is one badass lexus". around where i was, lx470s are a dime a dozen. and the irony is that i spent like a total of 125 dollars on my wheels. its like the anti-luxury luxury car.

added a 2m front runner roof rack. kinda frankesteined it, wanted one slightly shorter than the usual 2.2m (asthetics, i think it sticks out too far forward and doesn't go with the roof lines well). found a great deal on a demo 2m rack from equipt. really hated the install. grab a friend or three. anyway, it's up, just need to weather seal the new rails.

btw, paul over at equipt is a great resource. even came with a bottle opener, which is how i justified the purchase to my wife.

lights up top? no lights? thoughts?

Lights on the FR rack? Is that the question?

I have been considering the same thing - even purchased the FR light brackets, from Paul, but have yet to do anything light-wise.

yup, sorry, editted. i meant should i put lights uptop or is it over kill? i was thinking some rectangular ones, round ones would be too tall and i want to be able to park it at the mall since that's where i go mostly with my urban cruiser.
