aggietoy - your rig / build is looking great... i've never been a fan of the rear arb bumper but it sure does look good on your ride... keep up the good work!

Nice wheels, I liked, but I wonder if there are any OEM steel rims but 16", that can fit to the LX470?
good luck

I'm not 100% sure what you are asking.. but the 18" steelies off Tundra's will fit.

You could get Hutchinson rock monsters in 16 or 17s but they run about $399 a wheel

inever really cared for the arb rear but it looks sweet on your rig! Can you take some shots with the spare on? I bet it looks awesome

UPDATE:

took ladder off and added toyota center caps to wheels. looks more complete to me instead of the "rolling on 4 spares" look.

painted front grill and back emblems black. added arb rear bumper with spare tire carrier. wiring of lights is still a project but i think i'll have it done in the next week or so. it was NOT easy to do so when someone tells me they want to charge close to 700 bucks to install it, i believe them! still won't let anyone touch my truck and i'll do it myself but boy, is it a bear. plus, arb likes to throw all the nuts and bolts in a huge bag and you get to spend an hour just sorting out the hardware.

waiting to get matching wheel back from powdercoater and then it's complete. anyway, enjoy:

Lookin good man, it's come a long way since I saw it last. You even take it wheeling? Still liking the nittos? how are they wearing

Aggietoy sold this a while back and I don't think has been on here for a while.

Awesome looking 100 though

Yes. I'm here. I've kept the mods going so I guess it's time to give the LX another bath and take some more pictures.

Since taking over for Dean I've done a few things:

  • Installed 55W HID bulbs and ballasts
  • Removed a few stickers, replaced with my own
  • replaced AHC fluid
  • LX470 badge came off so I left it off, all badges on the back need new black paint
  • Installed CB and PA system
  • Installed fuse block and reworked lights and ran power for current and future mods
  • fabbed up a temporary switch panel to hide in the center console until I figure out a more permanent solution
  • Christmas lights (for now) and red LEDs in interior
  • Whiteknuckle sliders
  • Labrak's antenna mounts on both sides. One is for antenna, the other for tailga... I mean backup light - Probably use Rigid's dually for that.
The beast gets me back and forth to deer camp and the bay systems from Corpus to Port Arthur. You'll probably catch this thing going down the Texas roads some weekends with a couple kayaks strapped to the top. It's already had a few appearances within the pages of Texas Saltwater Fishing Magazine!

I haven't noticed any issues with the AHC since adding the sliders. It does have an issue staying in HI mode when it's fully loaded with 4 adults 2 babies and all our stuff and has been on the road for, say, 4 hours. It seems the fluid gets too hot and the AHC system gives up. It's fine when it's cooled down, but I think extended trips with a heavy load tend to build up that heat.

More pictures are sure to follow, but here are some for now:
