Output is 134 hp (100 kW) at 3500 rpm with 232 lb·ft (315 N·m) of torque at 1,800 rpm. From Wiki. If it is an 88 should it not be an FJ 62? Maybe different market = different model year changes. John
I'm going to speak to "Duke" tomorrow. I have a lot of questions about this vehicle and his inventory. His inventory is too pristine in my opinion.

Wiki is probably just talking about the American market. Just north in Canada they got BJ60s.The ad does list having a FJ62 but shouldn't be a diesel. F= six cylinder gasser. I believe all diesel with have a B or H in the model until they came out with the V8 diesel.

Are the 12HT that big of a deal? I know of a few that are available
LHD 60 with a 12HT owned by A.mus.ed cousin. - At one time he was thinking about selling.
Land cruiser LHD with one - For sale touring the west coast right now
Land cruiser pickup LHD owned by a friend - will sell if you have deep pockets

That 79 pickup is simply awesome. Love that troopy too.The 12ht is pretty good having an inline 6 with a turbo. You can seem them from time to time on ebay. I wouldn't mind having one myself.

I think I'll pass - but wanted to point it out for the 40 crowd.

Curious how it's a great runner with no radiator installed. Price seems high. I bought the 70 in my avatar two years ago for a couple grand more. That included the complete tool kit and jack. In AZ a rust free is not worth as much and states in the rust belt or where there is high humidity. $4,000 is probably a more realistic price.

Its a 75 series pick up

You might be right Phil, but it's hard to tell from the back end. This pic is what got me me thinking it could be a 79 =) http://ecom.toyota-gib.com/English/Vehicles/70_series_site/70Series/79_Series.htm Cool truck none the less, would love to have either one!

The reason I say 75 series is because that is the driving force that made the deal. The story goes, he was the only person that ID it correctly to the previous owner. The 75 series is 6 lug vehicle where the 79 is 5 lug is the first hint from what I was told. The crazy part its a working truck not worthy of garage space.

For myself, most definitely would like to have one. The deep pockets is what I don't have. Wouldn't mind having one in my driveway either way :D

Anybody recognize this one? Haven't seen it rolling around town, but per the ad it's been a garage kept - perhaps it hasn't been out nuch?

Probably been too busy blinging it out to drive it on the street. Kinda surprised that will all the other OEM stuff, he decided to use an aftermarket radiator. Who cares, It's a dry heat. John

Seeing prices of some 60's recently, I sold my 60 too cheap!

but i did sell it fast...

For the price I would have thought at least a 2FE and H55F would have been in it. Even then not sure it would sell for that much in AZ.

Yes it did Murf. Probably could have gotten a little more. I would be surprised if this sells for that much off a CL or Mud ad. Ebay or one of the auctions maybe but how much would the guy take home after all his commissions he would have to pay? Personally I hope he sells it for that much since I have a low mile rust free FJ62 that I might sell some day. His price is way more than I paid for it when it was just over three years old.
