This from a guy who showed up on his first trail run in thongs, with no food or water and with a quarter tank of gas.

Yes, he pulled a "Shannon" before there was a Shannon. Of course, Shannon was the first to do the hummer thing.

I'd have to paint it white to avoid ridicule, seller forgot to mention that.

My truck is black, Murf's is red, come over to the darker side....

You will need a bit more than that!:hillbilly:

Especially the dark colors like green, gray and blue...ask Jackson how he knows. :)

A wise detailer once told me "Wax on, Wax off"

It still has drum brakes on all four corners, wouldn't start, hasn't been registered since April 2010, has bondo (done poorly) everywhere. Knuckles are leaking badly, gear oil seeping out of outer front hubs, rear main seal leak, leak at transfer case or transmission, cobwebs on the rear brakes/tires, some welded on pipe to reinforce the rear bumperettes . The front windshield frame is constructed from bondo :bang:. I really tried to convince myself it could be brought back to respectable condition, but thankfully the crack wore off just in time and I escaped with all my money:D
Owner is a nice young kid, but he was a little misleading on the phone. He indicated it drove well just finicky to start sometimes and that it was great fun to drive and 4 wheeled great. He has only owned a little over a year, so the fact that is has never been legal to drive since he owned it, and didn't know the PO makes me think he really couldn't have any idea about its drivability:meh:

Wow! A locked 40th Anniversary addition with 168,000 for $7,000 and no takers? Are we, like other civilized societies, failing to bread enough young to maintain and reproduce our culture?

The price started at $10k and has been coming down since. What premium would you apply to an Anniversary edition, $300:meh:? Less the cost of the repairs, not sure the price is right until maybe $4500-$5000.

I hope we don't go the way of all great, gay societies? The powers that be have looked beyond the glory hole and read the writing on the wall. And while some in-breeding may occur, new members are being welcomed like never before :) someone will buy that legend...

Of course, I meant to say, we are just getting more sophisticated about our cruiser purchases. Lockers alone aren't going to get it done :)

What area is the glory hole at I never wheeled there. Is there swimming?

Great review. Sounds like $2k to me, or less. I've bought nicer ones for less. . .

I was looking at this guy's 4runner today. He seemed like a nice guy. Selling his toys to do a home remodel.
