I like the magnet & pulley cup holder. But I guess I need to reinstall my tranny hump first.

Well I finally made it back here.

Sandbox 30w bluetooth speaker, RAM iPhone holder and spray can cup holders. I'd rather the cup holders on the doors but I didn't have time.

How does the Sandbox do at high volume? Much distortion? Can you hear it OK above road noise and general Cruiser noise?

Sandy McSandbox is a little underpowered for the traditional Cruiser noise. It does well at low speed and on the highway you can certainly hear it, but next time I'd get something twice as powerful - just 'cause I like my tunes right up there. FYI I also have dynamatted the cab and used 5mm yoga mats on top of them and have an OEM floor mat. But only on the firewall and floor - no doors. YMMV.

I looked for cup holder solutions recently as I started driving my '72 40 again and I always have a coffee and a water bottle with me. Looking around I found some magnetic cup holders. The links below will give you an option of putting a cup holder pretty much anywhere. The magnets are strong enough to attach them on the inside of the doors and take a full door slam with a full 16 or even 32 oz camel back. I wouldn't trust the door idea with anything but a water bottle myself. However putting them on the transmission hump and the back of the steel backed seats worked really well with large insulated coffee containers. I drove regular roads without a problem but did not try anything off-road.

Here are the original links for your use also.
