Me too. Troy actually. Love Aruba. Last time, we rented a Jeep and drove out to the Natural Pool which is one of the more remote place and went snorkeling. There was no one around except one guy. He was from Stoneham, Ma which is one town over from me. So random. Where are you staying?

We are staying at the tropicana Casino resort. Eagle Beach area.

I would never rent a Jeep.

Hecho en Mexico.

Seems like your pushing Chris into slipping a racial slur on the forum. What's up with that? He loves mexican's, don't you Chris?
And you don't like our friends from Mexico?

I hope not.
Make an argument that jeep outsources it's vehicle manufacturing to different countries.

When it comes to anything to do with race superiority you'll find yourself quickly on the outs with me.

There is this process if natural selection that has been at work for thousands if years.

The end product from that was a race of people particularly adept for those adversities that they faced

An example would be the native Americans who's roots came from descendants that lived high on the side of cliffs. That process naturally gave them a superior sense of balance and why they were sought after for building sky scrapers.

I'm not racist! I hate everyone equally. :)

Hey look, a squirrel!

I've always associated this statement with ADD. In fact it's very accurate to those who have it. I as well as my son are easily distracted by random acts

While the chat thread might have veered. Into an uncomfortable area. I think it's important to celebrate our differences while acknowledging them.

I personally would like to capitalize this differences for the better if our club.

Been looking for a dedicated tow rig lately. Trying to spend somewhere around 4-5k.

2 strong possibilities, ones a 1997 powerstroke f250 ext cab long bed 193k. It's pretty clean for its age on the plus side. Negative side is it's an auto and a 2wd but well within budget.
I heard the eo4d is a bad Trans.

Other truck is an 86 f350 ext cab, long bed, dually, 4 speed manual 4wd. Another pretty clean truck for its age from someone I know who is a diesel mechanic and had known the history of the truck for sometime which are all pluses. It's also a non turbo 6.9 IDI which from what I've been told are absolute slugs and painful to tow with at any uphill grade.

The late 90s model powerstrokes seem to be coming down in price.. I know they aren't getting younger but why do the same age dodge cummins go for almost twice as much with the same mileage? And at the end of the day it's still a dodge!

Anyone tow their 4x4 with a 4x2? Could see some possible troubles with F&F and a few friends who live out there.

Oil pans on the 7.3 rust bad and you have to take the cab off too fix or bring it to wally and he will cut out the crossmember
EO4D is weak but you can build them to be bombproof
Had a 97 & 02 F350 powerstroke- Great trucks
I switched to a 01 Dodge Cummins so I could work on it. I like it but need to upgrade the steering (came poor from the factory)

Why have another vehicle that you need to tow with. How often are you going to tow and the sketchy white 3/4 ton van will haul your toys and you can sleep in it. Another truck is maintence, insurance, money. If I were in your situation I would just tow with what I already own. The money you will spend in the gas van vs. diesel won't make up the money. Just my $.02

2x4 vs 4x4 I don't think you really NEED the 4x4. Sometime it might be nice but not a real requirment of a tow rig.

Good questions-
The van can tow the 40 on a trailer, if it's mostly emptied. What it doesn't do is allow me to take the wife and kid to events like the FG, CMCC or The Fall Crawl in VA... I know that wouldn't act as a deterrent for some of you... LoL

i already need to trade this van in for a newer one because my son can't ride in the passenger seat because there's no airbag shutoff. I have to drop him off every morning. I will be looking for a one ton.

When towing to some of the places I want to go I don't think a gasser will do the job I want. There's even just some long crawls going to Rausch that I see will be an issue with the van.
