Doing a run with 12 HEEPS this weekend. Night run tonite then sat and sunday. Here is what the invitation said;

Saturday 10/24 – weather permitting, we are running the infamous crack and leaving at 9:30ish. For those not familiar with it I have attach some photos from a prerun in July. If you value your fenders, windshield, hood, tops, tires, body, paint or passengers than this IS NOT for you. Note the two pictures of Rodney were his two attempt at the crack. Only the lucky (or Toyota) will make it to the top. For those of you who value your rig and want to just watch, first be ready for some real verbal abuse and second be ready to walk. We will make provision for you to park at the top of the hill and walk down the trail to watch, help run winch cables, and be verbally ridiculed.

Should be fun , but propaly will do something else due to the weather

spent two whole days cutting and welding my friends 60 so much rot to take care of, got a nice tan from the welder at least
tomorow off to ricks to help him play with break lines on his 80:wrench:

Rams horn exhaust manifolds

John,

If you're looking for manifolds for a SB chevy
Chevrolet Pickup C/K Series Exhaust Manifold at 1AAuto.com

The price went up a little but the quality and service when I ordered mine was excellent. They are located in Pepperell, free ground shipping.

On a side note, lost my well pump last night:crybaby:
I told the Land Lady it was on it's way out three weeks ago, but she opted for the cheap and tried replacing the controller panel only.
What the He!! do I know!!!:meh:

Off to work now to grab a shower and a 12volt pump we have there and put it in the old well next to the house so we can at least have some flush water.

Sounds like your day is starting off good.

it is pretty hard to get those ramhorns on a 2F, but someone prolly has tried;p
thanks for the resource Jr.
put all your pails outside.....

Kind of silly, but had to post it as we took the 80 pavement pounding. My Uncle and I went Lighthouse hunting the other day. Felt like a tourist in my own back yard, but did get to see a few areas I had not been to before. All in all a fun day. Phone pics so not very great.

So those of you that were at Kinas this summer will recall that my friend Chip let me bring his 40 up to wheel with you guys for the day and you might recall that I had a problem with the windshield and towards the end of that last trail I had slight issue getting up that rockface again thanks for the help Kina and Gary. It seems his doors won't quite line up now from the last tree i caught I tweaked the cowl also and the pass door is off almost two inches from closing. Looks like his 40 has a home in my garage this winter. But on the up side he said he is not missing that weekend next year.

I've had this happen after some frame twisting outings. You can pull the cowl back into alignment by using ratchet straps connected to the upper door hinge mount and a 1" round tube dropped into the hardtop receiving holes. Attach one end of the strap to the door pin and the other to the tube and tighten. If you need to push the cowl forward, a highlift jack with blocks works pretty well.

Redneck home improvement.

Today is move the 400 lb. pellet stove upstairs day.
Borrowed an appliance hand cart from work, tried to get some
so called friends from work to help. Even with the promise of
beer there were no takers.
This leaves Bette, Ian and I to get the thing up a flight of stairs.
Parked the 40 outside, opened the window and ran the winch line
thru then down the stairs and used the tree saver to attach to
the stove. Bette ran the winch and Ian and I guided. Took about
5 minutes. No hurt backs, crushed fingers or hernias!

Lane- you can now justify every upgrade imaginable to your cruiser to Betty. Maybe some bigger tires so you don't tear up the lawn?

Just did a couple days of wheelin with some jeeps. A couple on their side, a fair amount of winching and water up to the top of the gas pedal
