So just got an email from the old owner! He said the japanese writing on the hood is the name of the town it was from as it was a hood off a Spector fire truck. Why the F would they do that to a fire truck hood? Why would Specter sell that??!! Seems crazy to me.

Truck was originally Green and White. That was a big mystery! Asked for him to send old pics. Very cool to get the history however limted

MAACO thing is coming along. We are about $10k apart right now. I'm sure we'll meet in the middle but I'm gonna have him re-do the 55 on his dime if I have to kick in more $$$. Won't really cost him much of anything anyway.

you know what would be a natural companion to a MAACO franchise? A Rhino Liner or LineX franchise.

Just sayin'

Yeah, the Dedham MA location does Rhino Liners. Thought definitely crossed my mind!

Took the pup out with me on the VT Pre-run yesterday and he seemed to enjoy it. Mostly he just slept. :) Wanted to get hims started early as our older dog hates wheeling and it would be nice to have the pup not be the same way.

Going to have to get him a harness though as he got launched from his seat a few times. :D

Had a great day today, up early and had breakfast at the Chelsea Diner over in Brattleboro.
Then we drove up to Townsend VT and did a 3.4 mile hike to the summit of Bald MT. Views back to the east were very nice. Leaf color was good but I wouldn't say its peak yet. From there we drove on up to Jamaica and visited the graves of some of Bette's family. (her Dad died a week ago) Then over to Wardsboro for another cemetery. It was kinda cool to see these graves and the dates of when family lived. We had talked with several older relatives over the weekend about life back when we weren't around. A very different life than what we live now but in many ways much better.
From there down Rte 100 to Wilmington then back home. Nice little trip and hike!

Snowing this morning, not sticking, but cars coming down from the higher elevations are covered.

yeah we got some o that:rolleyes:
calling for 2-4 inches next county north:bounce:

Just about finishing up this beast we started over the weekend, should split stumps with ease!

If I hadent broken it in the first hour of run time I would.
3yo cherry stump + new splitter = shortened fun time.
